KREATOR 'Terrible Certainty'
(CD w/ Demo Bonus Tracks)
Tracks 9-13 taken from the KREATOR EP "Out Of The Dark...Into The Light" (1988). Tracks 9, 10, 11 recorded and mixed at Musiclab Berlin, May 1988. Tracks 12, 13 recorded live at the Dynamo Festival in Eindhoven, 31.5.1988.
Brutal Genius. Kreator's grip of fear gets tighter, harder, fiercer with each release. 'Terrible Certainty' is their third, and the first that'll do more than just tear your face off... Although relentlessly fast and heavy and whipped into shape with a rod of iron, this is still Kreator's most accessible record yet.

After two quite successful tours in Europe and the U.S.A. we took a little break to recover a little bit from life in a van before we started to write new songs. Walterbach had the idea to work with an English producer called Roy Rowland who worked with bands that I have forgotten about. And instead of going to Berlin again we went into a studio in Hanover which we heard belonged to a guy from Eloy - a German Prog band which was supposed to be very professional, which was true by the way. This time we were really prepared and the recordings were very smooth. Our relationship with Roy was a little strange, even though we all liked him very much. I think apart from the fact that he thought the studio was "faulty" because he had to reconnect certain cables all the time, he did not like us inviting our friends from Assassin and Darkness into the rooms above the studio were we all stayed during the recordings. Some things got broken, I know but it was not all that bad and we were always at the session on time. Anyway, I am still very happy with the sound on "Terrible Certainty" and our first "international" production, and our fans liked the album very much, too.
